Navy and Black are engineered specifically for cold weather winter riding. They contain our chest insulation fill and full Sherpa inner lining.

The HiVis has been intentionally designed differently.

Although it costs us the same to manufacture with or without insulation, we chose to produce the HiVis without the winter fill and without the Sherpa coverage. It is still fully lined, seam taped, and waterproof 15k.

Why? Because HiVis is primarily a safety garment for hacking and trail riding, and hacking happens all year round.

If we insulated it, you would effectively be limited to using it only through winter months. Through rider trials and testing it became clear that riders prefer the flexibility. Adding their own base layer such as a Sherpa cardigan, hoodie or thermal takes seconds, and means the HiVis can perform across all four seasons.

Every HH product is engineered with intention, purpose and rider practicality at the forefront.

Due to the popularity of this specification, our winter season next year (September 2026) range will include Orange and Pink and we may make hivis with winter fill if there’s the need. This is still made exactly as a winter coat outer layer is fully taped seams, breathable, 15’000 waterpoof we just make it so you can layer yourself according to your season. 

The Hi-Vis Safety Reflective Edition has been engineered for riders who need visibility and protection all year round. Featuring heavier reflective branding across the back, this version is built for maximum visibility in low light and on the roads. We’ve adjusted the layering system so it can be worn across all four seasons, giving you the option to adapt with your own base and mid-layers while still delivering the same 15K waterproof performance as our core design.
