New for AW26, the ProPleat Waterproof Riding Coat has been designed for riders who want proper weather protection without the bulk of a long riding coat.
Made from advanced BionicFabric® with a Teflon® finish, it offers a certified 15K waterproof rating, wind resistance and everyday durability. Finished with a detachable hood, 2-way riding zip and our signature rear pleats, it is made to move with you in and out of the saddle.

Why This Length?
We purposely designed the ProPleat to be hip length rather than a long coat. During trials, riders found longer coats could interfere with the seat, feel restrictive during training, or end up being taken off shortly after getting on.
This length was chosen to keep the coat clear of the saddle while still offering practical protection from the elements.

The ProPleat gives you waterproof protection without feeling heavy, bulky or restrictive. The rear pleats allow movement, the 2-way zip gives extra comfort when riding, and the detachable hood makes it practical for changing weather.

This is a lovely jacket, which is very comfortable to wear. I am 5'2" and 10 and a half stone and chose the XL, as I like to have plenty of room at the shoulders. The length is good for me too, as this gives me some protection from the elements on my thighs. Everyone is fairly relaxed about jacket rules in my area (thank goodness) so I've worn my jacket to two showjumping shows and out hunting - it's smart enough and gives more freedom of movement than a traditional jacket. It's also very warm and I've been hot when everyone else is freezing! The fleece lining is very pleasant against the body and means you don't need lots of layers, however if the temperature drops seriously then there's room to put other layers on underneath. The pockets are deep, too, which is so handy. I can put my phone (inside a leather case) in the top internal pocket and the side pockets are great for penknife, twine, polos, keys and all the other essentials! I looked forward to receiving this jacket and have not been disappointed :)

I’m so pleased with the new propleat coat. The design is lovely! The a line fit and the pleats make it feel so feminine. It was a god send in the rain last week, dried off with just a shake and kept me cosy. Perfect length when riding. I know what one in each colour!

I was fortunate to have been bought this coat in Navy as a gift, and it's just the best. The pleated back keeps the rain off your bum when riding or walking, and is the perfect length. It is a super flattering fit which I've recieved many compliments from when wearing it. It's also warm enough without being bulky or overheating you.
I'm a size 12-14 on top as I dont like tops too tight, and the size L fits perfectly, with enough room for a lightweight jumper if needed on very cold days (although I've not needed to add a jumper), without looking baggy or oversized.
I absolutely love this coat so much, I'm considering treating myself to the new brown one.
