WHAT WE CHANGED & WHY

QuickMount™ has evolved from last season based on how the fabric actually performs.

WHY WE REMOVED THE SILICONE GRIP

Last season we offered QuickMount™ with both grip and no-grip seat options.

However, the close-knit weave of the QuickMount™ fabric naturally provides a good level of traction in the saddle. After testing both versions, we felt the additional silicone grip offered no noticeable benefit over the non-grip version.So, we took it away.

Removing the silicone makes QuickMount™ far more versatile — they're no longer designed purely around time in the saddle and can comfortably cross over between riding, yard work, layering, walking courses, warming up at competitions and general outdoor wear.

The fabric does the work without us adding something we don't feel it needs.

ABOUT THE WATERPROOF FABRIC

The QuickMount™ outer fabric itself has been independently tested to a 10,000mm waterproof rating, giving excellent protection against rain, splashes, mud and winter weather.

However, there's an important difference between waterproof fabric and a fully waterproof garment.

For a complete garment to be described as waterproof, all seams need to be appropriately sealed or taped. During development, we made the conscious decision not to tape the seams through the intimate/lady area, as we didn't want to introduce unnecessary bulk, stiffness or potential friction in an area where rider comfort is far more important, because it takes away the main reasons this product was developed. 

Because the garment isn't fully seam taped, we do not market QuickMount™ as a waterproof trouser, even though the fabric itself is and will offer great protection to lots of elements.
