The HORZEHOODS® Performance Club Black Short Sleeve Base Layer Top is a go-to choice for riders that want comfort, performance, and standout style. Designed for active equestrian use, it’s crafted from a breathable stretch fabric that offers a flattering fit without feeling restrictive, giving you the support you need in and out of the saddle.

The short sleeves make it ideal for warmer days or layering, finished with red trim on the collar and sleeve edges for a sharp, sporty look. A practical zip-up front replaces buttons, making it quick to wear and perfect for riding, training, or yard work.

Eye-catching HH PERFORMANCE branding runs down the spine, with the Performance Club logo and Union Jack detailing placed above for a bold yet refined finish. A Performance Club logo on the front completes this versatile base layer, suitable for everyday riding, training sessions, and competition wear.

We offer two fabric options in the same sizing moulds, but they feel slightly different when worn:

Lightweight Fabric

  • Softer, lighter feel with extra stretch
  • Offers a more generous, flexible fit
  • Ideal if you prefer a less compressive light legging feel

Heavyweight Fabric

  • Thicker fabric with a subtle micro-lining
  • Feels more like a substantial breech while still functioning as a legging
  • Designed to provide greater coverage and a more compressive, sculpted feel
  • Due to its close-knit yarn, it will feel snugger on the body

Sizing Recommendation

Both fabrics are made from the same size moulds, however:

  • If you are between sizes:
  1. Choose your usual size in Lightweight (15% of customers do choose a size down in their Lightweight)
  2. Size up in Heavyweight for comfort

    My favourite base layer!

    I absolutely love this base layer, it’s super smart, flattering fit and quality is second to none as all of horzehoods products are. I have the leggings to match and they look great together! I’m going to have to buy the t-shirt now because I love the base layer so much!

    Lovely shirt but a little snug - I ordered L and I'm a size 14. Good length as I'm 5'10" too. Will return and pre-ordered next size up.
