QuickMount™ Breeches are built using our proprietary DryzX™ fabric system a technical waterproof, breathable stretch textile developed in collaboration with our manufacturing partner and independently laboratory tested.

SGS certified lab testing confirms an average water column resistance of 18,700mm (JIS L 1092:2025 Method B).

This is outerwear-level performance engineered into a riding silhouette.

Important Technical Note (Transparency for Riders)

The outer fabric can darken in the crotch area during rain because this zone has the most stretch compression. This is normal for high-stretch membrane fabrics it does not mean water is inside the garment.

Water can only reach / wet the outer face.
The membrane underneath prevents internal penetration.

In high articulation zones (deep seat, jumping position, high hip flexion) we intentionally did not seam tape the crotch to protect rider comfort and prevent seam chafe. This is standard practice in stretch technical outerwear. 

→ You get full waterproof membrane performance without discomfort or abrasion.

If you require 100% waterproof sealing in the 'crotch area' too, then the only way to achieve that is to sacrifice stretch and move to a rigid shell construction trouser. That is a different garment category. Stretch breeches cannot physically have the same seam taping approach as stiff over trouser example without introducing irritation and chafe in the saddle contact zone, we chose comfort, function over adding a final taped seam in this area. 

In performance product development there are always pros and cons: when you gain maximum stretch and saddle comfort on a waterproof fabric, we believe on testing you lose the ability to apply rigid seam tape in that exact crotch zone.

We are transparent about this so you can choose the set-up that matters most to you and whether this product will be suitable for your needs over a more rigid non stretch over trouser.

Waterproof vs Water Repellent (Important Clarity)

Waterproof means water cannot pass through the fabric.
Water repellent means water beads on the surface of the outer face.
A fabric can be 100% waterproof even if the outside darkens under rain, because the waterproof membrane sits underneath the outer face layer.
