We offer two fabric options in the same sizing moulds, but they feel slightly different when worn:

Lightweight Fabric

Softer, lighter feel with extra stretch
Offers a more generous, flexible fit
Ideal if you prefer a less compressive light legging feel

Heavyweight Fabric

Thicker fabric with a subtle micro-lining
Feels more like a substantial breech while still functioning as a legging
Designed to provide greater coverage and a more compressive, sculpted feel
Due to its close-knit yarn, it will feel snugger on the body

Sizing Recommendation

Both fabrics are made from the same size moulds, however:

If you are between sizes:

Choose your usual size in Lightweight (15% of customers do choose a size down in their Lightweight)
Size up in Heavyweight for comfort

HORZEHOODS® Hybrid Base Layer – Heritage Maroon

The HORZEHOODS® Hybrid Base Layer in Heritage Maroon is designed with riders in mind, combining performance, comfort and a smart equestrian look. Made from a soft, breathable stretch fabric, this long-sleeve riding base layer offers a flattering fit with plenty of flexibility, making it ideal for riding, training and everyday life at the yard.

Designed to move with you, the performance fabric provides the support and stretch you need in the saddle without feeling restrictive. It is soft against the skin while helping to keep you comfortable during more intense rides and busy days around the yard.

The cuffed sleeves provide a neat and secure fit, making them ideal for wearing underneath riding jackets and helping to keep everything comfortably in place while you ride. The practical zip-up front makes this equestrian base layer easy to put on and take off, while also giving it a sporty, streamlined finish.

As part of our Heritage Sportz Collection, the Heritage Maroon colourway is finished with our HORZEHOODS® Equestrian tartan shield logo on the right arm. A silicone HORZEHOODS® Equestrian logo sits neatly between the shoulders, with an arched design that creates a flattering finish.
